I used to think that the Second City was immune to the wave of religious insanity that's sweeping the USA. No longer: Our Lady of Salt Runoff

You know what I think this is a sign of? I think it's a sign from God and Jesus that they want the Federal Government to stop blowing up bridges and roads in Iraq, and spend some of that money fixing up the decrepit US transportation system. I was at the Fullerton exit last night, and the image spoke to me. Yes, it did. The voice sounded like a hundred cars collapsing through broken concrete and rebar.

To quote Voltaire: "those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities." Miracles and apparitions don't "bring people closer to God," they bring you back to church for more ontological brainwashing and magical flim-flammery.

Thank you very much for everyone who played with us this weekend and helped us out with places to crash, it was a lot of fun all around. Thanks especially to Zaius for putting the show together and being so nice to us. You guys rule and we hope to see you soon. Thanks also to Jason at Friends and Company in beautiful scenic Charleston Illinois. Also thanks to Andy Slater for putting the benefit show together, that was tons of fun as well.. This was a fun weekend and we hope to do it again soon.
